FULL CIRCLE YOGA IS NO LONGER OPERATING A FLOTATION TANK

What is a Samadhi Flotation Tank?

The tank is the size of a twin bed and stands chest high. It is filled with 10 inches of water and 800 pounds of epsom salt dissolved in it. Because of the high salinity of the solution, your body floats with extreme buoyancy on top of the water. The water is heated to 94 degrees Farhenheit so it feels neither warm nor cold. It is just like floating in your mother’s womb, if you can remember back that far.

There is a lightweight door that can be left open, or the door can be closed to eliminate the distractions of noise and light. The flotation tank effectively eliminates all external stimulation (gravity, light, temperature, and noise).

The simulated zero gravity encountered in the tank, coupled with its external sensory deprivation, produces a deep and profound relaxation. Floating in the warmth and comfort of a Samadhi Flotation Tank, you will discover something very familiar to you…the joy of being yourself, doing nothing.

A short history of the tank.

The first Samadhi isolation tank was developed in 1954 by John C. Lilly, M.D., in the course of brain-mind research at the National Institute of Mental Health.

With the continuing assistance of Dr. Lilly, Glenn and Lee Perry have been manufacturing Samadhi Flotation Tanks since 1972. We all pay deep respect to Dr. John Lilly. He left his body in November 2001.

Some of the Benefits associated with Floating.

Floating greatly reduces and eliminates pain, heals injuries much faster than normal and strengthens the body’s immune system.

Floating improves athletic performance, provides speedy recovery from the stress of peak output and virtually eliminates fatigue and "post race let down".

Floating leaves your mind free to focus and concentrate or even wander freely. Whether you are looking for a new insight into yourself or a solution to a problem, your creative abilities can flower.

Floating stimulates the brain to secrete large amounts of endorphins: painkilling, euphoria creating substances known as the body’s own opiates.

Floating significantly decreases stress and anxiety by lowering the levels of harmful biochemicals directly related to stress.

Floating suspends the dominance of the detail-oriented left hemisphere of the brain, allowing the right hemisphere to operate freely, giving it access to unusual powers of creativity, imagination, visualization and problem solving.
