Asana I: The basics of asanas (poses) are taught and inverted asanas are introduced. The foundation for practice is established.
Asana II: For those with one or more years of practice of Iyengar Yoga. Building on the foundation, the depth of understanding is increased and new asanas are learned. All basic asanas and relaxation are practiced.
Asana III: For students with three or more years of experience in Iyengar Yoga.
A continuous study of practice and introduction of more poses emphasizing
the intelligence and the effects of the asanas.
New Yoga Students: We suggest you come to your first class 15 to 20 minutes early and fill out a questionnaire regarding your body, i.e., any current or any old injuries and/or health issues. At that time, we discuss these details with you and show you around the studio so you know where to leave your shoes and valuables.
Even if you do not have any injuries or health problems, it is still helpful if we have a few minutes to meet each other before class begins. We are also interested in your yoga experience and any exercise program you are currently involved in or any past experiences of exercise.
Clothing for class: Shorts, T-Shirts, yoga pants, etc. (shoes and socks are NOT used during class)
Eating and drinking: Do not eat 2-4 hours before class, drink water before class, not during class.
Yoga mats and all necessary props provided at the studio.
Parking: In front of the studio on El Cajon Blvd or on 39th Street
Drop-ins are welcome.
Aman and Sunny look forward to meeting you.
