Inverted postures, in my opinion (Aman), are like the flowers that have blossomed on the tree. The effect on the body, especially the nervous system, is calming and balanced. Life begins to calm down and run smoother.
These asanas do take some time to learn and beginners need to know the standing poses first, but with regular practice, the shoulders, neck and breathing are relaxed. The inverted postures can really separate yoga from other forms of exericse because of their powerful effect on the body.
